Daylight Saving Time (or summertime as it is called in many countries) is a way of getting more light out of the day by advancing clocks by one hour during the summer. During Daylight Saving Time, the sun appears to rise one hour later in the morning, when people are usually asleep anyway, and sets one hour later in the evening, seeming to stretch the day longer.
Daylight Saving Time changed today in the EU and many countries in the world.
This time change seems to be a challenge for some electronic calendar systems. Please pay special attention to events imported from Internet calendars like Facebook’s (a reload seems to do the trick) & Google’s. Also mind appointments you have received by email and meetings that will happen in a different time zone than your usual. I hear Android devices have some issues with the time zone too, so, Android users, doulbe check. 🙂
I will appreciate any feedback on calendaring systems that needed adjustment. Please share, including all the details you can!
