for you if you usually do not mind. Is it simply me or does it look like some of the
remarks appear as if they are left by brain dead people? And, if you are posting on additional online sites, I would

Are you saying you uninstalled Outlook Connector and the problem persists? Please note that the solution did not suggest reinstalling the Connector.

I don’t know if more recent Connector versions actually solve the problem. My opinion is that Hotmail requiring a Connector to work with Outlook is bad practice on behalf of Microsoft. Not only due to the associated issues, but because it excludes all other email clients. It seems some things never change with Microsoft

Hi.

This problem has been completely solved if running Windows XP with Outlook 2007 by install and uninstall Microsoft Hotmail Outlook Connector.

But when use Windows 7 Pro with Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010, this problem cannot be solved by install or uninstall Microsoft Outlook Connector.

I posted at the Ask.microsoft.com but still not solve.

I observe that this problem might related with CPE17 Autorun Killer, or Symantec Endpoint 11 Antivirus. As many of my customer also face this same problem with same CPE17 and Endpoint 11 program installed.

Any help?

Hi. It will not work if run on Windows 7…..

This problem has been completely solved if running Windows XP with Outlook 2007 by install and uninstall Microsoft Hotmail Outlook Connector.

But when use Windows 7 Pro with Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010, this problem cannot be solved by install or uninstall Microsoft Outlook Connector.

Android memory and process management sucks! PersistentWare (apps that run all the time no matter what) result in the OS killing legitimate processes running in the background and losing their status. Not sure if it’s related, but, lately, the phone application keeps crashing (HTC Desire HD running Android v.2.2.1).

I am afraid my prediction is already coming true. Many recently updated apps have become PersistentWare

Tommy, I am not sure what your disagreement is nor what to update.

If it helps, my situation is about the same. My RSS sources are now more, as are my twitter follows. More news now come via Facebook and FriendFeed is disappointingly unchanged since Facebook acquired it. Luckily, I have Mixero (Air) to filter the Twitter stream, Snackr (Air) news ticker to scroll my Google Reader feed in front of my eyes and My6sence (Android & iPhone) to guess what in my feed interests me the most.

Still, my duplication problem is far from solved and I think there is an excellent business opportunity there.

You are missing the point, Norman.

My problem is not existence of rules and limits. My problem is them being hidden until vague, arbitrary & undocumented situations are reached, so they get to apply differently to different users. This is what is happening with Twitter and it’s just unacceptable!

PS. Please, people, don’t write to tell me I’m wrong in a matter of preference, namely the number of people I want to follow…

It’s good also to limit followers to keep balance between FOLLOWING AND FOLLOWERS. Because most people are thinking they are great because they are followed that means many FANS. Very hard for them to click to follow those who follow them even no fees. It’s just a matter of thinking.

sometimes you just have to update your windows root certificate from microsoft website in order to let your computer accept the new digtal signature file from verisign and rerun the java installer after a reboot.
It worked for me

Yes, Vicki, this is exactly it. Substitute the # (hash) with a ~ (tilde), so RTs don’t appear in the #hashtag stream.

That’s exactly the idea of the ~tildetag:
“Regular mentions of the conversation or even repeating key tweets for each user’s stream are ok, provided the #hashtag changes to a ~tildetag (which won’t appear in the original thread).”

Looks like a strict list of rules. For ex. There should be no RTs to a tweet that already has the #hashtag. Most followers would read a RT I would make, rarely a whole #. Too rigid but I can see the need for some rules. I’d prefer Twitter gives some better solution, like a thread indicator…

For me it was no problem to hit the 3000 follower mark within a few days! just by doing automatically follow hundred new people, next day remove the non-followers and follow the next hundred.

It is not clear what you disabled.

Some add-ons only install properly when the profile folder is online. In other cases, the message can appear due to a corrupt profile.

When I watch offline folder it was enable. I disabled the option but the message still appear. I disable all extensions and plugins, run in safe-mode, etc.
I can´t remove the restart message.
This problem happened when update all network Firefox installations.
It´s posible that this computer had Firefox open in update moment.

Ning allows you to change the translation of any keyword at administrator level. We actually changed it on one of our forums. The translation in Greek is by 99% ready as the system explains, while probably some definitions need corrections.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was a bit reluctant to uninstall the Outlook connector because it is required to check my hotmail account from Outlook, but I’ve wasted so much time (and energy) retyping so many e-mails that I just had enough of it. This issue can be reproduced consistently by switching keyboard languages. It’s been several months without a fix. Not only the crashing is gone after uninstalling the connector, Outlook is starts a lot faster. Thanks for sharing this!

Following back people is like giving someone a gift!
And when they follow without it being reciprocated, they loose the chance to follow someone else as you can only follow a set amount per people that follow you!

Why spend so much time on Twitter trying to sort out lists and user and not go to wadja.com where you can follow #Labels about topics that interest you the most.
BTW, Wadja.com feeds include YouTube and Twitter.

Αctually, the (not even disclosed!) ratio doesn’t tell me anything at all. I don’t spam anyone. I want to follow more than 2000 because I like what I read from them and want more of it. Plus, the discussion is not only about me but about Twitter’s practices as well.

If Twitter wanted people to follow each other, they should have built it like Facebook. The whole point is that we follow a different set of people than the ones who follow us.

Why are they trying to make us follow less people? Having more followers than following doesn’t make following more than 2000 more manageable.

So, are you puzzled with everyone following thousands or people, or just me?

I understand your frustration at suddenly discovering the 2000 limit if not enough people follow you back, then I’m sorry but I am baffled: WHY would you WANT to follow more than 2000 ?? I run several distinct Twitter Accounts, following about 500 others in total. I have a hard enough job keeping up with that number – all of whom I am interested in, in their different fields, and potentially interested in their tweets. If you want to follow over 2000, but the ratio to those who want to follow you back is not close enough, then doesn’t that tell you something? I’m puzzled.

This crash just started happening today when I was trying to reply to my friend in Russian. It’s funny that my query in google was exactly like your title “Outlook crashes when switching keyboard language”. I suspect this was caused by recent patches and updates from MS, and I just didn’t notice it because I didn’t use Russian for a while in Outlook.

This Outlook Connector is such a half-baked product! This is a second time it causes Outlook to crash. After installing it on my home and office computers couple months ago, my home computer started crashing often. I narrowed it down to Outlook being open each time, then google pointed finger on Connector. Despite that I left it installed at work since I didn’t experience any problem on that computer. Today however I got another proof that Connector was written by couple of student interns at Microsoft over a lunch break.

Begone, Connector!

I really don’t know why you mention me at all…didn’t do anything, you did it all! But even now it all looks quite confusing to me. I’m afraid I had a bit difficulty following you but in the end it sounds like a script problem somewhere and a matter of who goes first…

I admire your diligence but I would have jumped plugin or theme. I understand though that it was important for you to achieve your goal and well done ok, i’ve got a plugin that works on IE but not FFx and I already know it’s a matter of javascript. How about tackling that?
